Backpacking Round The Wor..
Trip is postponed Changed job.. Need to reorganize and sort loads of things now! argh
**********************************
It was just a couple of days ago I realised that I will be 30 in 2 years and I have not lived my dreams yet! My bestfriend and I had a talk after my Aussie trip. What's next? And so we have decided we are not waiting for another 2 years. We are quitting (or if my Boss is able to give me a year off) our jobs in August and starts our "World Tour" in September. Well almost My mum thinks I am crazy which I have always been. But after much persuasion and explanations the reply that Ive got from her was : "I Knew this will happen! You just cant sit still! " I have always been travelling alone and when my bestfriend decides that she wants to join, this trip will be a wonderful one. Understand that in some places it will not be a good time for us to travel (due to the weather) and warnings from all of you are very much appreciated LOL We are heading down to Australia first from Singapore as we can't find a good deal here. Staying for a week in Brissy then head up all the way to Buenos Aires (Argentina). Will be visiting a couple of our friends, some whom I met in Melbourne and Brissy, in Chile and Brazil. From Argentina, we will be heading to Chile, Bolivia and make our way to Rio.. Im sure this will take us a few months LOL.
From Rio we are crossing the Ocean to London. Will be staying in London for a while, and head up to Denmark and make our way down to Munich (to visit some friends) and hopefully we will be in Holland for the New Year ! Well I promised my aunt that I will visit her
Once again, will be in Scheveningen for a while before we make our way to Paris, Porto and last Euro stop Madrid. We hope that we are not very broke then, so that we are able to experience Ibiza!
From Madrid,if we are able to change or flights, it's either Kathmandu, Nepal or Cape Town, South Africa is our next target hehe.. (TBA)
In Asia, we will be stopping in Bangkok Thailand which we will then make our way to Cambodia and Vietnam and return back to the land of smiles where we are going for Island Hopping as we are very familiar with Thailand.
Back to Australia - Road Trip ! From Brissy, Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Last Stop - Sunshine Coast ! Will be staying in Australia for at least 2 months or till the Customs officials kick us out of Oz!
Home Sweet Home
Well we are not millionaires, hence we will be working here and there (dont be surprised if u see 2 idiots when the next time u enter McDonald's!) and loads of volunteering thats for sure! (and not forgetting sports! Am taking up skydiving course as well and do loads of surfing or maybe snowboarding yay!)
Well that's our plan for 2009/2010!
Let's hope that we wont get lost! ( I always lost my way when boarding the train in Brissy - shucks! will need loads of map for this tri

1st - Wish all of you a Merry Xmas and a prosperous New Year I will be missing 2008 that's for sure. I had a very wonderful year this year. Of course there are all the $ittY stuff, but that's life. Nothing is forever sweet. Those whom Ive got to know here and have met (and those whom I havent met) - it was really nice knowing you! We have had great fun and stupid moments too! And I appreciate the hospitality that all of you have shown, and the best thing some of you are not originally from the country Let me be honest - most of you have a common curiosity - here is my answer. Yes, I am still single. Not because I am choosy like some of you have accused! but simply because I am just too tight up with work and studies, and the rest of the time, travel. And I dont want this to be an issue. But of course, time can be arranged for that special someone(Dont expect me to give up on the things I am trying to achieve!)
Well in here I am listing my "things I must do" in 2009. (Dont ask me why I dont call it resolutions - it just dont fit!)
1. I must be able to proudly announce that I have QUIT smoking 2. I must complete the half marathon (21km) at the end of 2009 3. I must head down to the Down Under 4. I must visit my Aunt in Holland before she kills me 5. I must smile more Someone just told me that he will never approach me if he sees me outside coz I just have the "Dont come approach me, else Ill kill you" look!
Not a lot of "things to do" in 2009 for now. But Its the preparation in order to get the things done, I believe that takes a whole lot of my time.
Lets look forward, and say goodbye to 2008 soon. It will be nice to meet you guys again, which I will be meeting some of you again like very soon, and to those whom I havent, it will be a pleasure too
Cheers XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

The best thing about Singapore - being able to walk all alone in the middle of the night and feeling "safe" BEEEP wrong! haha The best thing about Singapore is actually to see and experience the multi cultural society. There is respect for other cultures and beliefs. I, myself, belong to the minority - the Malays (but to be specific, my mum is javanese and my dad is Bugis/Boyanese). But my good friends are Chinese, Punjabi and all other races and religions.. and we dont pester each other to head down to the Buddhist temple, or the mosques or even the church. But one thing we do is discuss our beliefs and religions so that we understand each other better. And for the rest who has never heard of or know not much about Singapore - here is the fact. Its that small dot below Malaysia and no, Singapore IS NOT a Chinese country. Where should you go here in Singapore For those who loves nature and animals 1. Singapore Zoo and The Night Safari Be surprised, there are a few creatures that you dont think you would ever see 2. Sungai Buloh Nature Park Have a binoculars in your hand, you never know what birds you might see 3. The reservoirs (Macritchie and Pierce Resv) Please bring along a bottle of water! And no plastics you will attract the monkeys!
The adventurous ones 1. Bukit timah nature reserve The highest "hill" haha go hike up! 2. Pulau Ubin There is an adventurous camp there which you can try. Grab a bicycle. Please be careful when you cycle.. there had been deaths here and there 3. Go Karting at Taman Jurong Nuff Said 4. Skate Park @ Dhoby Ghaut Not very big but you can try 5. Sentosa Island - entertainment and adventure
The party animal 1. Head down to clarke quay.. lots of clubs there If you want to chill, head down to Highlander or Pump Room You want action (babes/hunks and good DJs), Attica and MOS. Good Live Bands - One Nite Stand and The Arena All of the above mentioned, are in Clarke Quay 2. ZOUK home grown club @ Jiak Kim Street - GORGEOUS 3. Boat Quay - Small pubs and ktv and lots of youngsters 4. For those who wants skanky place - Orchard Tower Ipanema (2nd floor) actually they have a good band but too many working girls and theres another one behind Roxy Square somewhere at the east side cant remember the name sorry
Shopaholics ! 1. Orchard Road Lots and Lots of shopping centre! Find Prada, Chanel and Louis Vuitton. But there are also other shopping centre for street wear (Far East Plaza) 2. Vivo City The largest shopping ctr in Singapore
Transportation Avoid taking cabs during peak hours (730am to 9am and 430pm to 730pm) Top Recommendation - Take the MRT (its everywhere, it goes to any where and its cheap!)
Not to miss - Local plays at the Esplanade
And Singapore being the best stop over - head down to Bintan and Batam Indonesia and Desaru Malaysia in an hour ferry ride @ Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal..
Have a good stay in Singapore! Cheers!

Personal Note
I have always wanted to travel round the world since I was young.
See all the different cultures. Learn the languages and lifestyles.
And at a very tender age, I have always imagined cam-whoring round the world.. To shop in every town and cities... *a typical young lady's dreams*
But now, it is no longer about shopping in Hong Kong or walking out of KLCC splurging on a Prada bag - though err cam-whoring still.
These few years, I have learned how to appreciate life.
To learn the beauty of people all around.
Appreciating God's wonders... AND BE WARY of perverts and very unpleasant people..
I have not travel further away from Asia though one day I will.
Holland , Canberra and Cook Island are in my list which I have to accomplish within 2 years.
Having 14 days annual leave a year is not enough. *Psssst - this is a normal number of leaves here in SIN .. But with proper planning - mission will be accomplished.
And here pasted on wall, the world map. And by 35, I am going to step on all 7 continents and will not stop just there!
Cheers!!
