WAYN and Rummble announce integrated app for Android and iPhone
In a disruptive move, two of Europe's leading start-ups have been working together on a new app combining WAYN’s dreams engine™ with Rummble’s award winning personalised recommendation service.
“WAYN is all about connecting people who love doing the same things as you. By integrating Rummble technology, WAYN users will also be able to locate great places to meet.” said Peter Ward, Co-Founder of WAYN. “People have dreams big and small. It might be visiting Rio De Janeiro, climbing Mount Everest, or simply getting into that new VIP club you’ve always wanted to go to” he said.
WAYN went mobile in 2008 and also launched mobile flight alerts and a speaking translator for travellers. Rummble have already launched their own iPhone, Android and Windows Phone apps, serving their fast growing community with nearly 1,000,000 points of interest.
“WAYN finds the people, Rummble helps you find the places” said Andrew Scott, Founder of Rummble. “The Rummble API is available to any developer to use but by working even more closely with WAYN it will give their 15.5 million strong community a great user experience.“
Rummble says they provide both traditional venue recommendations but also what Andrew calls the “long tail of the physical world” meaning things like the best dog walks, kite surfing beaches or picnic spots. The global WAYN community will be able to tap into these offerings immediately, which also include directions, distances and Tweets about venues . “This is just a first step” said Peter Ward, “we’ve got even more exciting plans to come”.
