You can start chatting with anyone on WAYN through WAYN Chat, Email and SMS.

The “Chat” window is situated in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. When someone sends you a chat message, the window will automatically open enabling you to read it.

To send a chat message you need to open “Chat” by clicking on its tab. Then click on a friend you want to contact. When you select the person and write message, simply press “Enter” on your keyboard.

Next to the friend's name on the list you will see information about their current status - online (green light) or offline (red light).

By default the “Chat” window will only show those of your friends that are currently online. If you wish to contact someone who is offline at the moment, simply type their name in the “Search people” field.

When you open the “Chat” window and select a friend to chat with, there are three icons next to their name. The little “Eye” icon allows you to appear online/offline to this person. By clicking on the “Add person” you can create a group chat and the “x” icon allows you to close the conversation window. If you wish to minimise the chat window without closing it, click on the tab at the top.

You can search for the specific contact you wish to chat with. In order to do so, open the “Chat” window which you will find in the lower right-hand corner of the screen and type the contact's name into “Search people” field. Next to the friend's name you will see information about their current status - online (green light) or offline (red light).

You can disable/enable “Chat” by going to:

and selecting Yes/No next to the options “Disable Chat” in “WAYN Chat” section.

If you wish to appear offline to all your contacts, open the “Chat” window and press on the little green light next to the “Search people” field. This will bring up the “Appear invisible” option.

You can also appear invisible/offline to a specific friend only. In order to do so, open the “Chat” window, click on a person in question in the list of contacts and press the little “Eye” icon next to friend's name. You will still be able to send him/her the chat messages. If you wish to appear online again to such a person, select his/her name in the “Chat” list and press the “Eye” icon once more.
