Why would you want to come to Alexandria,Ontario? It is a little town just outside the province of Quebec. There is one restaurant owned by a Greek famlily though.Maybe they are your relations?Tuula
Yes.Your recorded history is much longer than ours. Our unrecorded history only began with the retreat of the icesheets around 10 000 years ago.And the recorded history began in conjunction with Sweden/Russia.We have only been independent for a very short time compared with Greece. It is a miracle that we have been able to remain independent beside a giant like Russia..T.
There is really nothing to see In Alexandria. You are better off renting a car and driving to places you are interested in.The canadian North is spectacular. We have lots of forests and lakes as well as seasides. The problem is the size of the country. One day I calculated the ratio of Finland to Canada.Canada could hold 24 Finlands.Tuula
Alexandria is not a city but a village with a lot of mainly Montreal people and local farmers around it..It is an hour's drive from Montreal and slightly further from Ottawa.Kingston to the south is on the St.lawrence River where the Thousand Islands are located. The latter are a worthwhile place to go to.Like Finnish lake country. In the north are thousands of lakes like in central Finland.I have never been there but seen photos of it and it is like Finland.Check Canada out on line. You'll get much more info that way.Tuula
