Amy  (with reference to Beach outings) 18th Sep 2011

I am heading to Venice the first week of November. Also planning to go to the Amalfi Coast. Any recommendations on "must do/see" activities?

Amy, you will love the most romantic place on this earth, Positano, on Amalfi Coast! Also, you can rent a boat to go through another villages in Amalfi Coast, such as Maiori, Minori, Praiano, Amalfi, etc. they look like a picture. Don't forget about Ravello, which is not on the shores but one of the most beautiful towns on this area, and Capri, just outstanding and unbelievable. Venice is such a pretty and unique City, but not a resort. it is not that close of Amalfi Coast. kisses and have a nice holiday

its amazing! the locals are very friendly . In Positano, there are b&b's that have salt water pools and they also have private little apts . ask the local ppl. my son and i ended up there by pointing at the map. Pompeii is close,Nepals , as well. you can take a train down to the tip and there's an 8hr boat ride to Egpt. So many little markets and the size of the lemons are lengendary! you will love it! the locals have the 411 on everything and as i said, are kind and welcoming beyond belief! ciao!
