To all lonely men here: If you are looking for that 'special someone' on this site (WAYN.COM) stay away from any members that state their YM, MSN usernames or e-mails on their profiles (for all to see). Be rest assured: they ain't looking for romance! Profiles which publicly state their ID's or e-mail addresses (and are invariably @hotmail.com, @gmail.com, @yahoo.com so they can't be traced), generally have photos of VERY attactive girls as well and they will frequently initiate contact with you first.

(The photos are not of the ladies who own the profiles either, they are mainly downloaded from modelling / fashion or often: erotica websites)
Common sense should tell you that this would not happen in the real (offline) world.
So take my advice: if you do receive any messages from such HOT chicks, especially if you're more than 20 years older than them: DON'T reply, but BLOCK them. They are ALL SCAM artists and this site is rampant with them!!

What? You mean all these hot little 23 year olds aren't after my pudgy, 61 year old body? Sheesh! Whodda, thunk! I like the advice of someone above who said, if it isn't going to happen in real life, it isn't going to happen on the internet. Having said all that, though, I've met some very nice, interesting people on WAYN and enjoy a correspondence with them.

I'm right with you Jim. My "lean mean" 54 yr old butt only gets those kind of offers in cyber-space...But you are correct...I too have met some very interesting people from around the world. I'm not looking for another girl friend and certainly not a wife so I'm open to ALL friend requests.

I agree...I seemingly have developed a "6th sense" when it comes to picking out the scammers. How about the ones that call your phone with : A "7-11 Indian" accent and a nice American/European name like David or Steven, these guys try to get your credit card numbers from you. Last week I not only got 1 call, but (I swear on a stack of bibles) 3 calls from the SAME guy using 3 different Amer/Euro names. Just how dumb do these people think we are? LOL...Marie if you would like to make friends with someone who is NOT looking for a wife or girlfriend send me a request here on WAYN or even at www.facebook.com/timothyirahays. I will gladly accept.

Marissa, yes I don't doubt there are man scammers too, but they don't try to scam other men, hence my comment about the scammers I've encountered: ALL seemingly attractive GIRLS, not men. I can't say much about the man scammers because [so far], none have tried to scam me.

Jim... Yeah, but it appears that many guys here [who are older than us and pudgier] actually think that the 23 year old supermodels ARE after their bodies! (Just read the comments they post on the fake girl's profiles)... You're right - I too have met some good ppl here. This site wasn't even intended to be a 'singles / dating' site, but the scammers seem to want to change it into one? It was me that made the comment about it not likely in real life, therefore it is even far less likely on the internet...

Hmmm.. Am just too glad i am not a super model, or a PYT (pretty young thing) so i am not bothered at all.. Like
what i've said in my previous note on the same subject, one gets to learn the art of discernment, separating the genuines from the fakes... And knowing their real intentions of joining.. It's always best to put to put in mind
that we are here to foster universal friendship..
All else should be weighed wisely & carefully when something goes beyond the original intention by which they joined this social website.. We all are mature people anyhow, so we should set our own limitations, provide only the basic info necessary, and establish contacts with
those you have initially sensed to be simple yet real.. When the profile presents itself as 'too good to be true' and presenting just one or two pictures of a fantastic & amazing goodlooking faces & bodies,.. then Forget It!!
Well, u may take my advice or leave it! .. Happy wise surfing friends!!!:)

I red these comments with great interest and am very thankful for the information. I have been trying to find a nice guy for more than a year and have met nothing but scammers who found themself in very desperate situations and needet my money to bail them out. I know that there are good and honest guys here, but how do i know how to pick them ?
