When cornering,the exit speed is what gives you the advantage over other drivers - so slow up early and accelerate progressively out of the corner and hit the apex either early or late depending on the next corner.Other drivers will think they have the brakes on when you shoot past them,or better still lap them!
Anticipation is also a secret that allows you to overtake or simply stay infront till the chequered flag!
