When you have read Dan 2 & 7, read Revelation ch 13 and look for similarities.

Hi Pmela. I read the Bible regulary. I have a BA in Theology. We had classes where we specificly studied Daniel & Revelation. But as with all of the Word: We never understand all in this life.

I am not a Bible College person, and so my previous comment is not 100% certain either! My comments are what I have been led to believe from Bible study over the 45 years I've been born-again. I know that there are amillenial views of the last things, but I am premillenial as I believe all prophecy regarding Israel and the jews is literal. When the full anComing of our Lord Jesus Christ. It seems we will be returning with Him, therefore we shall first be caught up to meet Him.Nobody know exactly when that will happen though. We should however be ready.

I believe too, that Jesus will return before the periode of 1000 years. And as you rihtly state: We will be caught up to meet him in the air. Therefor is Jesus not coming down on the Earth.

Yes Magne, He is indeed- as Acts 1:11 and Zechariah 14:4 (among other verses) clearly state. The location is around Jerusalem,Israel, and He will destroy Israel's Gentile enemies(Armageddon),resurrect the Old Testament and Tribulation saints from the dead, and then 1,000year promised Kingdom on Earth will soon commence. But the church, now the Bride of Christ, returns from heaven with Him for the marriage supper of the Lamb, but I'm NOT at all sure what our "Kingdom duties" might be after that. Finally after the millennial reign,it seems all true believers from ALL the previous ages will be in the "new Heavens and the new earth" with God in eternity. As I'm sure you will know, there are also differing views on the timing of 1Cor15:51

and 1Thess4:13-17,the resurrection/rapture of the church, which I think Paul tries to clarify in 2Thess ch.2 distinguishing between the 2 phases of the Second Coming, first "our gathering together unto Him" and thereafter commencement of "Day of the Lord" after which Israel becomes "head of the Nations" for the Kingdom period. This pre-trib view better explains for "the dead in Christ" to have their resurrection FIRST,whereas Israel's waits until the [Great] Tribulation is finishing.
The main argument for the post-trib view , about which I am neither expert nor convinced, seems to me to assume the 'rapture'trumpet is the same as the last trumpet of the Book of Revelation, plus it usually seems to indicate less distinction between the Body/Bride of Christ and the Covenant Nation of Israel's destiny.

Many thanks Pamela ,and Magne, for these Bible references, and the opportunity to review the things which are likely to be happening soon. Maranatha. The Lord Jesus returns,in the air for His Bride AND to the Earth to reign in the Millenium. The exact duration of time between the 'up' and 'down' phases is not specifically given as far as I know, but may very small for post-trib theory believers, or slightly more than 7 years for pre-trib theory ,corresponding to Daniel 9 's 70th week of years.

Yes,thanks Pamela, however Rev20:5 is in parenthesis in my Bible and effectively happens Rev20:13-15? In spite of the near perfect conditions for the previous 1000 years, some people will have resented the' rod of iron' rule and unwillingly' worshipped' the Lord and so will rebel with Satan when he is released, showing that unredeemed mankind is basically fallen and at emnity with God when given the chance to show their true colours.

Daniel 8:14 1150 evening and 1150 morning sacrifices probably[not sure though] has to do with the period up to the Maccabees [Hanukkah] temple re-dedication miracle after the Greeks had desecrated the Temple [foreshadowing the future Antichrist's desecration] 2Thess2 Dan9:27. The 70th week Dan9 is decreed upon "thy people" Israel and is split in approx half by the Antichrist's temple desecration, a period of 1260 days ,plus 1290 days, so you can see from that we have 30day months as per the JEWISH calendar, which 5 times in each 19year cycle has a repeated month . So there's 42 months + 42 months +30 days of a repeated month making up the final 7 Jewish years. see Daniel 12:11, and there is also a further short period of 45 days I have not yet been able to figure out, unless Armageddon takes that long!

Agreed, salvation is by grace through faith in Christ ,Messiah and LORD.This is true for Gentile believers ,also for Jewish believers but who in Old Testament times did not know Yeshua[Jesus] by name. For instance Job was able to say Job19:25-27 . Gal3:28 is addressed to Church[Body of Christ, to those IN Christ] , who are drawn from Jew and Gentile, and all classes of society. God's general[other than salvation] promises to Israel under the Old Covenant however are NOT the same as God's New Testament promises to the Body of Christ[the ecclesia,or church].Hence Israel and the church are different divinely ordained programs in how when and where God's purposes are worked out.Yes, the New Covenant is 'superior' in some senses to the Old, but the Old still stands; the church has not replaced the nation Israel in God's purposes, the Abrahamic land covenant Gen ch15 for instance, was uni-laterally ratified by God.
