Egypt is USUALLY safe... safer than most other islamic countries. They value their tourism industry and have worked hard to keep tourists safe. No where in the world is ever 100% safe, though. Egypt is one of the places where they are actively working to KEEP it SAFE for TOURISTS!!

Egypt is one of the safest countries I have visited. I even went to the village on a taxi on my own, really had no idea where I was going but the driver took me, I found the Bazaar I needed to to, he waited for me and took me back to the hotel.
