nothing like desert trip for me !! During the day or night!! its Unique!!the Risk,lonely,Silence,..Nothing to disturb what you want to see or hear....i love it when the sky at night is so clear or to see and hear the fire when its cloudy or rainy..

Yes - the company is important in the desert.
But, I usually drive in the desert. The 4WD, a tent, a fire and good company makes you feel closer to the Almighty - it is good.

The best is when there's the desert and the sea right next to each other, like we have in Namibia all along the Atlantic coast.

Maybe - but does a 300 million year seaside count?
That you can find in the desert outside Riyadh, look down and the stones are fossile seashells, or you may be resting at the remains of a whale. Don't tell (because collecting stones is illegal) but my collection of fossile seashell and shark-teeth is worth a visit...
