Would anybody know of any nudist beaches in South Africa?
Both JPG and RAW are file formats.
RAW is a file format which does not compress in the same way as a JPG file.
Essentially, in RAW, each pixel has an individua light meter reading, in a JPG pixels can be clumped together in blocks of colours which are roughly the same. If you are shooting pictures to put in a family album then shoot in JPG. If you are shooting for a living or if you intend to do a lot of image manipulation afterwards, then it can be advantageous to shoot in RAW.
RAW format does have drawbacks though. The files are much larger than JPG, usually 3-4 times bigger. Also, before you can use a RAW file, you need to convert it to a JPG if you want to share it online or give it to other people to use.
RAW can give better results, but for most amateurs, the convenience of working with JPG files is much better.
RAW + JPG means just that, the camera will create 2 files of the same image, one in RAW and one in JPG.
It has its uses, but my advice, choose RAW or JPG not
