It would depend how far you want to walk. My wife and I were fortunate enough to find a tour guide the same day we arrived at a hotel in Beijing. She arranged a trip up part of the wall, near Beijing. We want up a kind of open-air cable car to the wall and the views are amazing. We went in January though and I have NEVER been so cold. We did walk a few yards and took loads of photos, but we weren't there for long though, but I HAVE DONE IT!

Tips: get a tour guide, don't go in January lol

I experienced the Great Wall of China, in early fall, the section outside of Beijing, I think it's called the Batleling area. The only advice I can give is to bring plenty of OHh, Ah, Whoa, when you take the bus from Beijing to the area and see how the wall snake's the peek's of the mountains, and through canyon's, your only thought is how was this achieved. It is truely one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Enjoy.

Does the Great Wall have many parts and many views ?Plz explain me.

Arun Sabnis from Mumbai, India Arun
The Badaling ,being the closest to Beijing, is visited by the tourists very often The view of the wall is not much different from any place though the view from the wall would differ from various places. But it is mostly a hilly terrain

Hi Pam, Thanks for your nice message I just read. I am glad that Christmas is over. I was too sad because my husband has found a new lover and spends all his time with her. Glad to hear on you even in 2012.

The steps are not leveled or identical with each other, sometimes you need to step a bit higher than the usual. Wear comfortable trousers so you could have a convenient climb/walk. =)
