Wow! save your money as Japan will cost you a fortune!! Very Very Very expensive. Generally Asia is a great value destination, this does not apply to Japan. I recomend you come to Taiwan. I am here presently and I absolutely love it. You can not find more hospitable people anywhere. The food, the land, everything hear lives up to the name the Dutch gave her (Formosa which roughly means beautifull land). It's very easy to get around, great diversity, great public transportation. Most people know basic english, and LOVE westerners. Asia still holds close the memories of WW2, and they have a great appretiation for the countrymen of those who gave their lives saving them from the ethnic clensing campaign.
