Ready your arms, it's a pretty cool sport, but u will have a sore pair of arms and torso afterwards! the adrenaline rush is awesome, but you have to keep in mind, you go as part of a team, you need to keep calm and cool and follow the instructions the lead gives, the river can change easily and in just a few seconds a smooth ride can turn harsh. wear sun block, comfortable cloths and shoes, you will get wet.. and its good to bring a warm change of cloths for the aftermath, also make sure u eat a few hours before, the effort you will be making will require energy, but u dont want to stuff up with a lot of food
Tullly River, south of Cairns, Australia has Grade 4 rapids.
North Johnstone, south of Cairns, Australia has Grade 5 rapids.
Both are awesome! If that's a bit fast, Cairns has some Grade 3 rapids closer to town on the Baron River. I've done them all at different stages with 2 different companies & had a ball every time.
