Well, my best recommendation for seeing the tower for the first time, is not to get out on the metro stop where it says "Eiffel Tower" but instead to get off at "Trocadero", which is the stop across the Seine from the tower. You'll have a great view from there, and then you can make your way down the hill, across the bridge and right up to it, which is about the same distance you'll be walking anyway from the other metro stop to get to the tour except this way you'll have a much better view the entire way towards the tower. Voila! A little tip from a Parisian working in tourism! :o) Enjoy Paris, she really is BEAUTIFUL!

been there, done it! so fantastic the view from the Eiffel Tower! only i dont know how to speak french, only a few words, but that was not enough!!

I have been there .....something you canñt miss .You have to go to the top too to see and watch Paris the City of the lights.It is a wonderfull spectacle !!!

I am lucky to visit to that place every year. It is really amazing and to see the best view.
