I absolutely love this place. When you're visiting from the US side you should definitely try to have Canadian visa as well to cross the bridge as it's probably nice to see whole falls from there. Also go to the caves and for the cruise!

Niagara Falls is in Niagara Falls Canada...not Montreal. It's a beautiful place...20 minutes from Buffalo New York USA and an hour from Toronto Ontario Canada. There are hotels and casinos, golf courses, restaurants and activities for all ages. :)

I think mid-summer would be the best time -- great time to walk- the nights R equally good. But Mid-summer is fruit season also drive to Niagara-on-the-Lake - buy fruit from the farms between Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake - fresh peaches and cherries - nothing better. Fall is one of the better times to tour the wine region - maybe if you are here late enough, you can tour the wine region - lovely wines - each different. Also, late enough and you can get ice wine ... the world's best grapes for that. Enjoy the region, it can be beautiful if you have time to drive around. You can do the Falls in 5 minutes - spend more time on the beautiful sites near there! Enjoy .

The summer is the best time to go but if you are going on a budget either stay outside Niagara (St. Catherines is a good place about 20 minutes from the falls). Or failing that if it just the fallls or casino you are going for go during the off season. The falls can be very expensive to visit but there are all kinds of touristy things for the entire family, These places tend not to be open during the off season.You also are very close to the Niagara Wine region I recomend a visit to the wineries. Lots of play areas for the children as well both near the falls and in wine country.
Enjoy and have a wonderful trip You will not forget it.

I was there on the American side three weeks ago. The weather was fine and the Falls' water voluminous. A ride on board the Maid of the Mists was sheer excitement - and experience. The township of Niagara Falls, New York is full of good restaurants, hotels AND large shopping malls plus an international airport too. Proximity to Buffalo City's Zoo as well. Well worth the journey - even from Malaysia!
