In the UK on A Sat night you are not safe in most cities in the high street. South Africa has safety issues in shanty towns and where poor people live, as is the case most places

What a wonderful place for holidaying!! The entire city seems to be a Big Holiday Resort. The Waterfront is amazing and so is Table Mountain. I am certainly coming back to this place sooon.

I was born and raised in durban and miss it very much wish i could afford the rrip back home but who knows what awaits me on the other side, i love my country but the crime rte is a bit out of hand, i love reading everyones inputs and experiences through brings me back especially when i see all the pics!!

The rape level in south Africa is too much, I would not advise any lady to travel there.

Lots of youths with guns and they kill you if you do not drop your mobile phone. They are currently having a fight with foreigners as I saw on CNN, saying they took all the available jobs away from them. It is a nice country though it terms of beauty and the cool weather.

I don't agree with you Joshua. I don't know what is going on out there but I have lived in SA all my life and not ones has anybody tried to rape or kill me. Come visit Cape Town, it's safe and beautiful. Don't believe everything you hear or see on CNN....ask the people of SA...I will never leave this Country ;-)
