Max A. 's tip about San Marino, San Marino  (with reference to Chess, Fun, History) 24th Feb 2012

Many years ago, while living in Italy, my family and I made a wonderful trip to San Marino. There is a marvelous castle on top of the mountain where we saw a human chess game in historical costume in the central square. Check the schedules to to see if the still have this magical spectacle! Have fun, learn history, and enjoy!

I was too young when I was there, but I would check out the beautiful San Marino girls also!

I twice visited San Marino, one of my favouriite countries. It's nice small and beautiful place to be. Interesting places like museums, shops, historical buildings, all can be seen on foot. The best of all are the beautiful car numberplates, one of the nicest in the world. All reasons to visit this nice country, one of the smallest in the world.

Lovely place, and (good for shopping) it is tax free... There isn't a true custom so it's easy to get there. There are a lot of carparks near the top of the mount, where the touristic attractions are (it's a small Country, you better leave the car when you find a place). The main square is surely worth a visit, for the sight you have from there and for the goverment palace. Then you can have fun walking along the narrow streets of the centre, full of little shops and restaurants.

Mar 's question about San Marino, San Marino 31st Jul 2011

I want to know the system of government, and also the tourism there. San Marino is the oldest republic in this world....wonderful!
