Mark 's tip about Bratislava, Slovakia 19th Oct 2011

It is really quick to walk from the train station to the centre of town. It takes about 15-20 minutes at a brisk pace. There are lost of trams you can take also which are really cost efficient. Taxis tend to be really expensive 15 euros for the shortest of cab fares, they also have no meters, so you need to agree a rate before you get onboard.
If you ask a restaurant to book a taxi, it can be a lot cheaper!
Transportation needs a huge re-think here, but the city is quite small and very pretty, so walking is actually preferable.

Working in Liptovsky Hradok/Liptovsky Mikulas from time to time. This area is well worth visiting.. short distance to Tatra mountains, a lot of nice places to eat, Route 66 is a great place to spend evenings. Aquapark. Well worth a visit.

Joe 's question about Kosice, Slovakia 27th Apr 2012

Looking for information on visiting and staying in Kosice. Do many people speak English? How far is Poprad?

Iveta Gregova from Kosice, Slovakia Iveta
Lot of young people speak English, as far as I know. I do not have experience, I never had to look for anyone because I can speak slovak. Poprad is 1,5 hr by train from Kosice, very easy to get there.
