Doha is a bit strange place but depend what you really want to do if work wise its not bad because money wise its nice wages but if holiday i dont think so
It is low crime rate compared to other. wonderful to take holiday during winter but its too hot during summer
Doha is the capital of Qatar, a busy city. You can see both high rise and low level houses. Transportation is not easy as the public transport is limited. But rental cars are available. There are traditional souks or markets at the end of the city. Airport is closer to city. There are some private zoos. There are churches and plenty of mosques. Food can be of various prices but in general expensive compared to Dubai
Doha will be an interesting place to visit in about ten years from now. At the moment it is a gigantic construction site with unbreathable air and impossible traffic congestion. When the new drainage, new port, new airport, new roads and the metro rail systems have been completed then it may be a reasonable place to visit. The only place worth attempting to see at the moment is the spectacular Museum of Islamic Art. However, you can hardly get to it now because of roadworks. To be fair there...
