Steward 's tip about Manila, Philippines 15th Feb 2010

At first I was a bit sceptical about my plan to visit Manila City and what to expect there. Heard rumours from my friends that it is not a good place to Visit. But they were all wrong... Well, the climate are just nice, beautiful city and lot of place to visit, tonnes of historical place, people are friendly and warm... For those who loves shopping, this is the place to be, for those who are environment lovers, this is the place. Photographer as a hobby? well, I guarantee that you will have tonnes of pictures to be transferred to your pc when you are back from trip. Food are excellent and until today, Tortang Talong is my favourite dish... Hopefully I will be able to visit Manila very Soon...

Check this out: This ruggedly beautiful province of Samara, Philippines has its own version of world-class natural wonders. No kidding, this really a must see for all "adventists" and "histologists" alike.

Though we are often called as one of the country’s top 20 poorest provinces, one cannot deny the fact that we are also called “the land of plenty” in terms of ecotourism sites, such as majestic waterfalls, white beaches, springs, caves and other awesome places that can even compare or outclass other country’s top destinations.

As we are proud to say, we don’t only offer these beautiful sceneries to those who come, but we also offer a kind of hospitality that every visitor may come to say, “This is a place where you might not wish to leave anymore.”

Boracay has always been on top of my itinerary list. I visit the place whenever I feel the need to escape and de-stressed. My favourite part of the trip is the never-ending massages i get while laying on the sand and feeling the breeze against my skin. The azure sky and sea goes on forever. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for B-O-R-A-C-A-Y . If you don't believe me.... I dare you to find out for yourself.

I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE PHILIPPINES WHEN ARRIVED THERE IN 1997 ON A WORLD TOUR OF THE WORLD. I HAVE HAD AROUND 21 TRIPS TO THE PHILIPPINES, WITH SIDE TRIPS TO OTHER EXOTIC PLACES NEARBY.THE WEATHER IS VERY HOT ALL THE YEAR AROUND. I HAVE HAD MANY EXPERIENCES THERE OVER THE YEARS, INCLUDING NEARLY BEING KILLED BY A BOMB IN MANILA WHICH EXPLODED OUTSIDE THE HOTEL WERE I WAS HAVING A DRINK, AND THEN APPEARED ON WORLDWIDE TV.PHILIPPINES IS A PLACE WERE NOT MANY PEOPLE VISIT FOR DIFFERENT REASONS CAUSE OF DISTANCE AND THE FLYING TIME FROM EUROPE. I LOOK FORWARD ONE DAY TO RETIRE THERE. I HAVE MADE MANY FRIENDS IN THE PHILIPPINES OVER THE YEARS AND GOT MARRIED THERE NEARLY TWO YEARS AGO.

Paul 's tip about Manila, Philippines  (with reference to Fun, Bus Travel, IT, City Breaks, Food & Wine, Restaurants) 29th Sep 2011

Food food food, everywhere, lots of great value restaurants, feel like taking a family of fifteen for dinner and it will not cost you that much. Hope you like rice though, burger and rice, chicken and rice etc. I like Pancit, Adobong Manok, Menudo Afritada. Pick a good restaurant and food will be great, pick a cheap one and food will be fatty.

If you travel further, visit Palawan, Bohol all beautiful places, In the north there is the other capitol city of Baguio

San Roque Dam in San Manuel Pangasinan is an interesting visit, but book in advance if you can, it is free though.

Have Fun and enjoy your trip.

been to Batangas but I never go mountain climbing until this holy week my mum and I plan to go one of the most climbed mountain in Cuenca Batangas which is MT MACULOT..may Catholics go there for repenting..located there is the 13 station of the cross..at the first station you will feel like giving up but if you would remember your purpose of going up you'll strive to finish up to the end line..you'll just realize that you're already at the top of the mountain where you can see a grotto of mama Mary and you can tell to yourself that its worth a climb...

I could say Philippines is one of a nice place for vacation particularly here in Cebu City, a lot of beautiful beaches for relaxing which is not far from the city and a a good place in the City for hung-out, accessible also somewhere else you wanted to travel our most attraction beautiful island which preserves the nature and Filipino culture which attracted to our visitor's... But yes, it's true sad to say someone taking advantage specially to a foreign visitor's but to consider anywhere in this world there's bad person who always waiting in any chances to take advantages to other's, but still many people with a good heart only few of them are not...just xtra care!..

Choc 's tip about Manila, Philippines  (with reference to IT) 15th Jul 2011

every country has it's 'dirty place' and our country is not exempted from it (literally and figuratively). please dont generalize and make sweeping statements.. it doesn't help anyone... my tip would be, if you are planning to go to manila or on any other place for that matter... have an open mind and an adventurous heart... then you will enjoy your stay in manila.

Thank you, Vijay... we appreciate anyone who can relate... we dont have to compete w/ any countries; no such thing. Every country has there own uniqueness & qualities of people & cultures.... esp what & how "that" tourist expirienced the stay... Really & in reality, there are more tourists who can attest that they had pleasant experiences in the Philippines. But, each & everyone has to be satisfied & has expectations. Bottom line, w/ an open mind, you will be reciprocated at such. This country is too small for a country but too big for a city... be prepared & know what you want & explore w/ caution... Thanks guys
