Also great centre point from which to visit surrounding Italy. If needed, excellent Rail access from Florence. Other must visits are Italian lakes district, Cinque Terre and Amalifi coasts (Naples & spectaculr Island of Capri) and Tuscanny.

Collisseum gets better with age... lol. Seriously, last time I was here the renovations inside were a shambles and the place was actually dangerous to visit. Now it's cool if you can bear the queues to get in. Best deals to be had are available at ReservationScanner.com as far as I can tell.
