Be careful booking from your country as you will be ripped off. The tourist car companies are expensive you can find cheaper if you negotiate when you are there but be careful

Narendra... it depends where you want to go to. If you have to travel to major cities (e.g. Bahir Dar, Mekele, Hawassa) you have the option of having a 1st class buses or mini-buses; if planning to go to other small towns then you have other buses too which I don't recommend you to use with the short you have and safety issue (safety of the buses that some might be a bit over used). I would recommend you going to Bahir Dar (taking Sky Bus or Selam Bus). I know you'll have an enjoyable journey by bus, a lot of enjoyable landscape to see, Lake Tana, Source of Nile, and other wonderful places to visit. You man also extend your Journey to Gondar (from Bahir Dar) which is just a couple of hours drive.

Is the safari tours in Ethiopia ok?Any chance to see giraffe, lion, elephant and other " typical animals of Africa"?or rather go to Kenya for animal tours???Going there through December and still not sure...tahnx a lot for any recomandation, expiriences, advices:-)M.

Hi, planning to go to Ethiopia in December 2011, we are two and are really interested in Danakil depression. Anyone can suggest the best way how to manage?Any tips, experiences, advices how to get there, information about prices...Looking for a low cost option, we may start from Mekele to get the price down. I've been wanting to visit Ethiopia and some friends there but I do not know how to from our country, the Philippines. Is there an airline here in our country, or perhaps an embassy fo Ethiopia that can directly arrange or bring me to Ethiopia? Is the airline fare much expensive?

Is Addis Ababa a very modern area already?, with lots of buildings, hotels, entertainment, etc. I am a Christian and I know Ethiopia as an Orthodox Christian, but does their culture allow divorce and many marriages, like Muslims, w/c I think they got from the religion Judaiism?
