Hello Chaps

I planned to stay in Boliva for 4 weeks this summer. I ended up spending 4 days in the whole county. It didnt help that there was a civil war about to start (revolving around where the offical capital city should be). The big issue for me was the general dirt and hygine standards. I came through Peru and then went on to spend another month in Arge in hostles, but Boliva as a whole i found really bad place to be.

Most people i know got very ill in the country as it is very hard to get hold of good food that is fresh and clean. We resulted in burger king which is not ideal.

An overview - you will almost certainly get ill at some point in Boliva. There are some amazing sites to visit - if you can get to them (the transpport is very sketchy and the bus journeys are exciting if very dangerous).
But i think my time in SA would have been better spent going through Chile to get to Arge.

sadly I don't remember the name of the small towns where a were... but in general, depends of what are you looking or what makes something for you special.. if is the uniqueness of the region, or are you looking for confort...
