Robban 's tip about Liège, Belgium 28th Mar 2011

My lovely hometown is the northern latino big town in Europe (french speaking).
My tips :
- make some kayak or canoë (Ourthe, Amblève rivers)
- visit some of hte nicest castles of the country (Jehay, Franchimont, Harzé...)
- go to the highest point of Belgium (692 mt) in Botrange, a cold highland with nice forests, dears and nice hiking possibilities
- visit the world's nicest F1 circuit in Francorchamps
- visit the historical town of Huy
- visit the abbey of Stavelot in the Ardennes
- Don't forget to taste the local delicatesse as the "lacquement" (kind of light wafel with hot jam around), the Liège's "boulets" (sweet meatballs), and the Liège salad (ham, green beans and potatoes).

Lora 2nd Jan 2009

I just loved Belgium! Visited Bruges&Brussels for a week and was amazing! I'll come back there! For sure! I even want to live there! Everything is so well organized (except the lack of tourist centers) and well maintained (except Gare du Midi - one of the main railway stations in Brussels)...People are nice - everyone on his own, not really caring about you or what's going on around;) The atmosphere is very nice, and you feel relaxed as soon as you breath the local air. The local beer is the best, as well as the great chocolate and "les gaufres"...One of the things you should taste there is the Belgian biscuit...The shopping is another MUST:)

Lora 's tip about Antwerpen, Belgium 23rd Aug 2009

Just amazing;)Too bad everybody speaks Dutch(Flemish) and not French or English:)But is an amazing place with beautiful architecture and lots of places of interest:) The Stone - castle on the river, is great place to relax for a while..The Grote markt square has the most beautiful fountain with good historical/mystical background. The shopping areas are great and the restaurants and the pubs are all over...Don't miss to take a picture of the cathedral of Our lady - magnificient... If you have time and you're willing to do it - explore the underground town of Antwerp - lots of "streets" down there;) Love it:)
