When in a new part of the world find a local small airport/airfield that has a flying school. Book a trial lesson and ask to fly over interesting/scenic places. Even though I have a pilot licence, when on holiday I'm happy to fly with an instructor who knows the local area.

I have had my license to fly for about sic years now.. It was one of the greatest things I have ever accomplished... If you have any fear of flying at all, the best way to conquer that fear is to learn how to fly an airplane... Peace :)
