I've done some translation works and I think that the key is not only having a good level in the other language but also in your own one. Another tip is knowing the cultural context of the situation.

You're right, the language spoken in the street is many times different from the academic language. That's why it's interesting to collect updated slang and cultural terms dictionaries.

I for communication with the world using the Google translation. It's amazing I can communicate with každýmodé planet. Problems that my words are often evaluated differently translation and text often lose my sense. (Maybe right now - laughter). At least partial knowledge of the language and grammatical rules is an advantage. But we can not fully know all the languages! We're from different countries, speak different languages, but our hearts beat as well.

Think in the language you want to speak. If you do this, you will find that the words will come naturally! :-)

The best thing is to avoid translating word by word. Rather the meaning of the whole sentence that makes sense.

I recommend MUNICH HOTEL, If you are visiting DODOMA, TANZANIA. Clean, Friendly Staff. Breakfast is correct, but Lunch or Dinner not recommendable. Costs between 20 and 50 dollars, approx.

Moses Kagya from Mkuzi, Tanzania Moses
Nice to know that you still visit Tanzania and Dodoma in particular. We have not touched base for such a long time. Just a call next time when you are in Dar.
