Sri Lanka is on my "wish to see list". So far have only been at Colombo airport in transit. Used to live 10 months at Kurumba Village Resort in the neighbouring islands group of the Maldives though.

Be sure you have the appropriate visas in all places you're going to go if visas are needed. Travel light and bring only what are necessary. Paying for excess baggage is always "damaging" to the pocket.
