I love riding a bike. I have been riding for a long time and this summer, I did three 85 mile bike rides and tons of long distant running. The things that you see that you miss other wise. It is great.

Biking can be a great sports and transportation depending on the city one lives. I live currently in Athens Greece and we haven't yet constructed enough roads taking cyclists into consideration.

Riding a push bike is one of the best ways to get about, stay fit, and see the countyside.
A good combination 'commuter or hybrid' bike will do most people what they want (roads, cycle tracks, and a bit of off-road). Get a road bike, or tourer if you want to do mega miles, or a off road bike, if thats what you like.

In the UK, try the south downs way, its hilly, but the views are great. End to end is 3-4 days. stay in pubs/b&B and its awesome fun

Hope you dont mean you want to bike up mount everest by bike Its almost impossible to ather then by car or feet to go trough the himalayen mountains. Saw an accident with a man on bike his breaks where broken and he came with full force to a house He was very badly damged Not a good plan
